A few words about me

Mgr. Jiří Kočíb

Home isn't just a place where we live. It's a place we want to take care of. That's exactly why I'm running for the Lučany nad Nisou council.

Lučany nad Nisou is where I grew up, went to school, played sports and had a childhood I still like to remember. That's exactly why I care that it's a good home for future generations too.

Professionally, I work as a hydrogeologist and geologist. I take part in preparing and carrying out major construction projects, where responsibility, precision and attention to every detail go without saying. Every decision has to stand on solid foundations – literally. I'd like to bring the same approach to my work for Lučany – developing the town on the basis of well-thought-out decisions that will still make sense many years from now.

The topics closest to me are environmental protection, water management and responsible waste management. I believe that it's precisely care for the landscape and public space that determines how good life is for us in Lučany.

In my free time I like to travel and see the world. Long hikes and sports challenges have taught me perseverance, patience and that good results don't come overnight, but from honest work.

I'm running for the council because I want to offer energy, new ideas and a responsible approach. I don't want to change what makes Lučany exceptional. I want to help develop our town with respect for its character, its nature and the people who live here.

What I would like to bring to Lučany: consistent care for the environment and the landscape, a responsible approach to water management
