My name is Jan Stárek and I've been connected with Česká Lípa all my life. I graduated from Vysoká škola chemicko-technologická v Praze and professionally I work on developing and implementing modern technologies for water treatment and recycling. Through my work I take part in projects all over the Czech Republic and abroad, and every day I look for practical solutions that make both economic and ecological sense. I'd like to bring this experience to the development of our town too.

Alongside my profession, I'm actively involved in music and regularly perform at cultural events in Česká Lípa and outside our region. Thanks to that, I know the work of local associations, volunteers and organisers well, and I know how much time and energy goes into every successful event.
