Sports facilities for the public, not just for clubs.

Even though we have a well-developed sports infrastructure in Blansko, concentrated mainly on the so-called sports island, most of the facilities belong to sports clubs (for example the football stadium) or to private entities (school pitches set up by the region), where the public isn't allowed in, or only with restrictions (pitches at primary schools). There's a serious lack of sports areas, but also of green areas for relaxing, especially on the Písečná housing estate, where more than 400 new flats are also planned. The town should find a way to compensate the residents of this area for this shortage. A temporary measure could be repairing the football goal at the nearby House of Children and Youth.

Less concrete, more greenery, an end to no-dogs bans.

This summer clearly showed what a problem climate change in the form of warming can be for towns. Blansko should prepare a strategic plan for dealing with high temperatures — e.g. by planting mature trees, retaining rainwater and replacing concrete surfaces. Blansko is also one of the towns least friendly to dog owners. I'd like to change that attitude, starting with the newly renovated Palava recreation area, where you're not even allowed to walk through with a dog. I want to push for lifting the ban on walking dogs in this area and for building a dog park on the plot behind the DDM (modelled on the new park in Adamov), which is currently designated as a dog run.

Municipal flats (not only) for young people.

The town should actively build or buy flats and expand the municipal housing stock, so that young people or less well-off households have somewhere to live at a reasonable rent and don't have to depend on expensive sublets from private buy-to-let investors. Affordable housing in particular should be one of the town's main investment priorities in the future.

A few words about me

Hi, my name's Hynek. I was born in Brno, but I've lived in Blansko all my life and I want life in our town to be good for everyone, not just for some. I'm in the second year of secondary school, studying IT, and I've been interested in politics since I was fourteen. A lot has been achieved in Blansko in recent years, but there's still work to be done, especially when it comes to public space, how it's used and adapting it to the changing climate. That's why I'm running for the Pirates.

I love sport — I play football and sometimes go climbing on a wall. I've been in the Scouts since I was little, so I'm close to nature — also thanks to our dog, who takes me for walks in the woods :)
