Schools as an investment in Stříbro's future

I want Stříbro to be a town where it's worth growing up, studying and one day staying too. In my view, good schools are one of the most important preconditions for the town's future. That's why I want to continue modernising school buildings, specialist classrooms, sports facilities and other amenities, while also supporting the people who work in education. I'd also like to link schools much more closely with the town, local companies, institutions and associations, so that children get to know the world around them in practice and can see what opportunities Stříbro and the whole region offer them. In my view, investment in schools isn't just investment in buildings and equipment, but above all investment in the future of the whole town.

A safe Stříbro for everyone

I want Stříbro to be a safe town for children, families, seniors and everyone who lives here. I'll support strengthening and modernising the municipal police, a better presence of officers on the streets and closer cooperation with the Policie ČR. At the same time I think it's important to consistently curb the negative phenomena that disrupt safety and quality of life in the town – including gambling, problematic use of public space and vandalism. But I don't see safety only as repression. I also want to support prevention, work with children and young people, and creating an environment in which people feel good and safe in their town.

03

A Stříbro that looks after its landscape

I want Stříbro to be a town that responsibly looks after the landscape, water and nature around us. As a beekeeper and chair of the local beekeepers' organisation, and as someone who has long been involved with nature and game management, I can see how important it is to care for the landscape practically and over the long term. I'll support sustainable management of the town's forests, the protection and restoration of greenery, water retention in the landscape and in the town, and meaningful measures against drought and erosion. I also want to connect care for the environment more closely with awareness-raising and children's education, because a relationship with the landscape comes above all from getting to know it and starting to understand it. Our goal shouldn't just be nicer greenery in town, but a healthy and diverse landscape that will work well for future generations too.

A few words about me

I'm the headteacher of Základní škola Gagarinova in Stříbro and have long been involved in education, in developing the school and in the public life of our town. In the last electoral term I served on the town council and, as chair of the finance committee, helped draw up the budget and the town's financial policy. I want to build on precisely this experience and keep working to make sure Stříbro manages its finances responsibly while still being able to develop.

In my free time I'm mainly out in nature. I chair the local beekeepers' organisation, I keep bees and do game management, and I'm interested in the landscape around Stříbro and its protection.

I'm running because I care about Stříbro and I don't want to just comment on its future. I want to use my experience from running a school, municipal politics and working with people, and carry on with what we started together. My goal is a town that manages its finances well, invests in its future, is a safe and good place to live and at the same time responsibly looks after its landscape.
