A pleasant environment to live in

I'm glad I've been able to be part of the district leadership as a board member and take part in its development. I think our district is heading in the right direction. In the district we're planning several revitalisations of inner courtyards on Sokolovská, Rabštejnská and Bzenecká. But the biggest transformation will be in the U Bazénu park. The studies also reflect suggestions from local residents that were raised during public consultations. And that's important to me – transparency and open communication between the leadership and local residents, which I'd like to keep pushing for.

Participatory budget

A big success was pushing through, on behalf of our caucus, a participatory budget in which local residents can decide on investments that will improve the district. The projects to choose from come from ideas put forward directly by citizens. In the future I'd like not only to keep this transparent and open way of voting, but also to expand it further, for example with support for cultural and community events. More opportunities will thus encourage active involvement and interest in the district, including among young people.

Public art

I'm a lover of public art and I'd like more opportunities to be created in the city and in our district for placing works of art in public space. In Plzeň 1 we managed to keep the pink rabbit (Panoptikum), which has now become an unmissable part of public space. I think more works like this, which evoke emotions in people, provoke thought and give places a unique character, should be created. In my view, public art can connect residents with the place where they live and create a pleasant environment.

A few words about me

I've lived in Plzeň, in Bolevec, all my life. I'm a PhD student and a member of the executive board of the Plzeň 1 city district. In my career I focus on education and research. Thanks to my experience in both academia and local politics, I bring an expert perspective, an emphasis on facts and an effort to find practical solutions to public debate.

In my free time I like to travel. I consider getting to know the world, different cultures and local traditions one of the most valuable experiences in life. During my travels I've met many interesting people and gained many ideas that help me look at problems from different perspectives. It's exactly this openness to new ideas and experiences that I consider important in local politics too.
